What Parents Say

“Both my children enjoy going to Art class on a weekly basis and love their teachers April and Lucy. My youngest son, aged 5, use of pencil and colour co-ordination has greatly improved since attending, which is showing in his school work. The art class makes it fun whilst they are learning. Both their art work is improving and they are really excited and proud to show me what they have completed each week.”

Mum of Georgie and Charlie

“My children love the Art Hut club! As well as developing their art skills, it has also helped them in class by improving their handwriting and concentration. They take great pride in everything they create. Their confidence has grown in showing their creativity with April there kindly guiding them.”

Mum of Darragh, Aoife and Conor

“A vibrant and creative experience for my child. She has loved every minute and brought home some beautiful pieces of work that have allowed her to experiment with different styles and techniques! Thank you April!”

About us

Founder: April

April has been an art tutor for over 10 years. She strongly believes in the power of art to teach, inspire, and build self-esteem. As a child, she herself gravitated toward art, finding joy and confidence through creativity.

She began teaching her daughter art and craft at home, and soon noticed how much happiness and satisfaction her daughter gained from the creative process. Each week, her daughter looked forward to “art & craft day” with excitement.

April realised that children thrive in a fun and engaging art learning environment, and that this joy multiplies when shared with others. From this vision, The Art Hut was born: a space where children can create, learn, and grow together.

Benefits of doing Art

Some people dismiss the idea of studying art or pursuing it as a hobby unless there is an intention to become an artist. However, there is much more to art than making a career out of it. There are many different benefits that can be gained from art, these include:

  • Enjoyment and stress reduction
  • Stimulates creativity
  • Enhances fine motor skills
  • Boosts self-esteem
  • Helps to make you more observant
  • Meet more people with the same hobby
